Kathryn Albers, owner of Monterey Ceramics, Imprint On My Heart®, LLC, created the business out of the love for her children.  Her desire to make custom keepsakes gifts of babies and children became the force behind the ceramics.

“Children make such an immediate imprint on your heart as soon as they are born,” explained Kathryn. “I needed to capture who they were and just how deeply my children touched me.” 

From her love, a special business was born.  "I wanted to offer special unique keepsake pieces for anyone who has had their heart imprinted by someone they love."

The process of making a clay ceramic keepsake handprint or footprint impression is a bit like a labor of love in its own right. First, the handprint or footprint impression is made in wet clay, then the ceramic clay dries for several days, then the firing process happens, followed by a glazing for ceramic pieces, and a final re-firing. Each custom piece is lovingly hand crafted from start to finish in our own studio, resulting in high-quality ceramic handprint and footprint impressions that make lasting personal keepsakes for anyone.  We offer many different designs and are happy to take your special requests to create that unique memorable gift.

Now offering after-school art classes and summer art day camps.  Have your child explore their creativity with watercolor, drawing, painting, clay, ceramics, paper mâché and more.  Classes limited to 8 children.  Classes held at Expressed Luv, 3160 Ocean Terrace in Marina.
